No local installation is required. The app can be installed from the Microsoft Office Add-In Store.
The software is based on an annual subscription fee. In exchange you'll get access to the latest cloud app and email support. When you launch the add-in, you will be asked to connect via a personal login. Purchasing this subscription will allow you to do so.
For a limited period, you can try the app for free without buying this subscription by installing it from the Microsoft Office Add-In Store, launching the app from within Microsoft Word, and choosing the "free access" option.
